Planning Board Meeting

May 8, 2017

Present:  Bob Salmon, Andy Jones, Joyce Newkirk, Scott Pellman, Bob Lake

Chairman Salmon called the meeting to order at 7:07 p.m.

Dirty Bikes – sign

The Board discussed the “sign” that the Board reviewed at the April meeting for Dirty Bikes shop.  The bicycle is up, but there was a concern expressed that the bike wasn’t secured from swinging or swaying.  Chairman Salmon commented that it was not secured to prevent it from swinging or swaying with the wind.  The Board asked that the Code Officer check the bicycle, per the April Board meeting minutes to insure that it is secure and that the owner of Dirty Bikes provide the Village with proof that the bicycle has been secured from swinging/swaying.

Morrisville Training

Chairman Salmon and Joyce Newkirk attended the recent training program at Morrisville College.  One of the topics was solar energy.  The presenter spoke with Bob and Joyce and said he would be glad to come to the Village to speak about language for the Code in regard to solar energy.  One of the other trainers also spoke with them and asked what we would like to see as topics of discussion; tattoo parlors and pawn shops were two of the topic suggested.

The Board discussed that the former coin shop on W Genesee Street recently sold.  An attorney is looking to put his legal office at the location.

The Board reviewed the minutes of April 10, 2017.  Upon the motion made by Joyce Newkirk, seconded by Scott Pellman, minutes of April 10, 2017 approved as written.  All members present voting in favor.

As a reminder, the next meeting will be held on Monday, June 5, 2017 at 7 p.m.  This is a change from our current scheduling.

Upon the motion made by Andy Jones, seconded by Bob Lake, meeting adjourned at 7:30 p.m.  All members present voting in favor.

Respectfully submitted,
