The code enforcement officer for the Village is responsible for the enforcement of all Village codes including building codes.
He issues all building permits and is responsible for any building inspections and issuing code violations.
Building Permits are required for:

new fences
-
pools
-
additions, including garages
-
decks
-
sheds (140 sq. ft. or more)
-
new construction
-
major renovations
-
fuel burning
-
signs
-
demolition
If you have a question about whether a permit is needed or not, just call and make sure before you start the project.
