In the past 20 years the village has seen much improvement. The Creek Walk, streetscape improvements and events were all implemented as part of the Chittenango Vision 2020 plan. A plan developed twenty years ago from the ideas and goals collected from citizens and business owners, and drafted by students from Syracuse University.  

It is time to build on the progress made; expand the focus beyond the historic downtown and define Chittenango as a downtown destination. 

Over the next few months we will host a series of meetings with citizens, businesses and other stakeholders to plot the course for the future. Be on the lookout for opportunities to participate and give input. 

Downtown revitalization takes decades, but we had a good start and we are building on a solid foundation thanks to the leaders and volunteers who led the past efforts. Please help me as we expand, grow and beautify.
